The Tsiame-Dorveme municipality has been chosen by the government to be a beneficiary of the One District, One Factory initiative.
Mr. Godwin Edudzi Effah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Keta cut the sod to commence the construction of a cassava processing factory.

The project is a partnership between the Municipal Assembly and Hormeku Engineers and Planners (HoPE) Limited.
The Managing Director of HoPE Limited, Mr. Hormeku has assured the municipality that everything needed to make this dream come true has been considered.
Additionally, for the smooth progression of the project, the MCE has urged all employees and residents of Keta to exercise responsibility at safeguarding the materials that will be provided for the project to be fully executed.
Apart from gari, cassava dough, take and tapioca, Mr. Hormeku added that the factory will provide ethanol, industrial cassava flour, and animal feed which will employ skilled and unskilled labor to raise their standard of living.
