The Regional Security Council(REGSEC) in the Upper East Region has issued a directive signed by the Regional Minister, Hon. Stephen Yakubu. A man picking another man or a woman picking a man in a motorbike is prohibited.
“REGSEC after critically examining the security situation has with immediate effect banned a man riding on a motorbike and picking another man on the same motorbike in the Bawku Municipality and its environ”
However, a woman picking another woman on the same motorbike has been exempted from the directive.
“This ban does not include a woman riding on a motorbike and picking another woman on the same bike. It does not also allow a woman riding on a motorbike and picking a man on the same motorbike”
“Consequently, it was agreed that adequate security should be provided to the Total and Goil fuel filling station in Bawku Township“
