Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy, has shared his thaught on the need for African Leaders to swear by African deities when assuming a new office.
It is believed that African deities are powerful and less merciful when it comes to punishing anyone that breaks an oath they had with it.
During swearing in of Africa leaders, two powerful literature books that are always used are the Holy Bible (Christianity) and the Quran (Islam).
Over the years there has been a debate as to the inclusion of a traditional oath that has to do with deities.
On the his Twitter handle, he wrote, “It got me thinking that come this elections, our leaders and all who will assume public and civil offices may have to swear by our African deities too.
These promises must be fulfilled. Africa deserves a better leadership… Else where are gonna #RunGo.”
