– Akufo-Addo Sacks Managing Director Of Ghana Airports Company
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has directed for the termination of appointment of the Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited.
According to information available to us, Mr Yaw Kwakwa, the Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has been sacked.
The termination was made known in a letter emanating from the Ministry of Transport, signed by the Hon. Minister for Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah.
The termination, was in accordance with a direction from the President as indicated in a letter dated January 31, 2022, with reference number OPS127/22/104
The letter read:
His Excellency the President of the Republic, per letter No. OPS127/22/104 dated 31st January 2022, has directed that the appointment of Mr Yaw Kwakwa as the Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited be terminated.
In this regard, kindly take the necessary steps to give effect to the directive.
