Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed that the club’s new players must be registered by August 13.
This summer, the Catalans added Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Jules Kounde to their squad.
However, for financial reasons, Barcelona has not registered all of them ahead of the new season.
According to LaLiga rules, they must first free up their budget before they can do so.
“We’re doing everything we can to get the signings registered,” Laporta told reporters.
“We have until August 13 to complete it.”
He also stated that he is “optimistic” that all of Barcelona’s summer signings will be registered by the deadline, adding, “Let’s hope the league sees it that way as well.”
