Black Sheriff Reportedly Signed 85% Of His Royalties To Empire

A Nigerian record label called Empire of which Ghanaian singer Black Sheriff assigned to sign off 75% of Black Sheriff’s music royalties and this is expected to last for 15 years.

Last year, Blacko signed a 15-year record deal with Empire, before his breakthrough in the music industry. There are calls for him to go independent, but that can’t happen any time soon because of the contract.

With that notwithstanding, the shocker has to do with remuneration. It has been made known that Blacko will receive only 10% of the royalties, 15% to his label in Ghana and the extra 75% goes to Empire. A contract may deem unfair.

Empire is to market all the 7 EPs stated in the contract that Black Sheriff is obligated to produce. An advance payment of $30,000 after signing the contract was made to him with the balance relying on the share of 15% of revenue.
