Miss Rashida Fafali has written a great book that points to the reality of our time – living fake lives to please others contrary to the divine life God gave to us.
King David knew who he was and stated it emphatically in Psalm 139:14. Today, many youths are heavily indebted, stressed, confused and depressed because they’re trying hard to catch up with others or live a certain lifestyle in order to be accepted by society.
It’s very common today to see people splashing pictures of their wealth, marriages, holidays, travels and other personal activities on social media just to let society know that they’re also making progress in life.
Many youngsters going into marriage even focus more on the occasion than the marriage itself that they lose sight of the whole process.
In their bid to please society and splash their social media space with tonnes of pictures and videos, they spend monies they haven’t earned to have an elegant wedding and end up beginning their marriage journey with huge debts.
Miss Fafali has laid the points bare and her book is a must-read for every youngster, parent and leader. She has, through careful weaving of words, taught us how critical it is to be oneself and seek to please the Maker more than man.
She also touches on the power of forgiveness and the need to see our Iives in God’s eyes but not that of society. The need to value ourselves and not cut our noses to spite our faces is beautifully dealt with in this awesome book.
I recommend this timely-released book to be read in schools, homes and Sunday School Classes. God richly bless you for writing such an amazing book.
