Following the relaxing of COVID-19 rules over a month ago, Ghana’s active case count has reduced to 47.
According to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), these instances are concentrated in the Greater Accra Region, with no cases in the other regions.
Ghana’s total cases were 161, 280, with 159, 788 recoveries and 1,445 fatalities since the first case was registered in March 2020, according to GHS data.
Facemasks are no longer required, according to President Akufo-Addo, in his 28th COVID-19 report to the country on March 27, 2022.
He also announced all in-person activities, such as those that take place in churches, and mosques, As long as the audience and/or participants are fully vaccinated, conferences, workshops, private parties and events, cinemas and theatres may continue operations at full capacity.
He did, however, warn individuals to continue to practice improved hand hygiene and prevent overcrowding.
