Chelsea has agreed to a £55 million deal with Sevilla to sign defender Jules Kounde.
According to The Sun, Chelsea has agreed to pay £51 million plus £4 million in add-ons to bring Kounde to Stamford Bridge, making him manager Thomas Tuchel’s third summer signing.
Chelsea had previously signed Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.
Chelsea was interested in Kounde last year, but he left in the final days of the summer transfer window after Sevilla raised their asking price.
According to the report, Kounde has already agreed on personal terms with Chelsea and will have a medical within the next 48 hours.
Meanwhile, Tuchel urged the Chelsea board to strengthen the squad this summer during a press conference on Tuesday.
“I believe we need a couple more players to strengthen the squad,” Tuchel said.
