The staff of the Ghana Meteorological Agency has expressed their intention of embarking on an indefinite strike from tomorrow the 18th of February, 2022.
The Agency is known for providing weather information and keeping a keen watch on the Flight Information Region (FIR) for the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority is hereby halting their services over poor condition of service
In a letter headed “Commencement of Nation – Wide Strike Action by Staff of Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet)”
The Agency stated “Notice is hereby given that the staff of Ghana Meteorological Agency has presented a resolution to the honourable minister for communication and digitalization dated 5th January 2022 without any response do hereby resolve to embark on an indefinite strike action starting Friday 18th February 2022”
“This is as a result of our poor condition of service enumerated in our resolution”
