In today’s tweet, the Ghana Health Service in collaboration with the Ministry of Health made a public announcement of the phase two polio vaccination which will be conducted in eight regions from October 8 – 11, 2020.

As it happened previously, the vaccination exercise will be conducted in the Ashanti, Central, Eastern, Greater Accra, Vital, Upper West, Western, and Western North regions of Ghana.

The first phase of the vaccination was conducted from September 10 – 13, 2020.

The Ghana Health Service and Ministry of Health further extended gratitude to WHO, UNICEF, Rotary International, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and to mention a few, for their involvement towards the success of this campaign.

The public is informed that “over four and a half million children who are less than five years are targeted to be vaccinated”, the notice stated.
