President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said the government will make sure the necessary resources to fund the country’s project are provided.
The President has noted that Covid-19 has brought a big shock to the economy and they will ensure the economy does not collapse totally.
In a meeting with some Chiefs in the Dzodze area in the Volta region of Ghana, Nana Addo said the pandemic has affected many Ghanaians and more expenses have been made to ensure the well-being of the citizens.
He said “Revenues during 2020 and 2021 went down considerably because of the slowing down of economic activities that came from the Covid and at the same time government in order to keep the country going had to incur additional expenditure, free water, free electricity, and free food, these were unavoidable expenses that the government had to make”
“Despite the circumstances, the government will do all it can to ensure that development agenda will not be hindered”
