The Suame Lawmaker had previously accused him of spreading untrue rumours that he was plotting to become the finance minister.

The Majority Leader said on Kumasi’s Sompa FM, “What is your locus to be accusing me of being an instigator when we talk about the government itself?
In response, Gabby, a prominent NPP member, wrote on Facebook: “I have listened to excerpts of Majority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah-interview Bonsu’s on Sompa Radio, claiming I had gone on Asaase Radio to allege that he was the driving force behind the NPP MPs calling for the resignation of the Finance Minister.
He also claimed that I sponsored a failed candidate to run against him in the NPP parliamentary primaries leading up to the 2016 general elections, according to reports of that interview published online. Ever since
“1. I have never directly or indirectly said anything like that on Asaase Radio or any other radio station or media outlet, whether on the air, online or in print. In fact, I have purposefully avoided making public comments about this issue in the Majority Caucus of Parliament up to this point.
