rancis Kofi Okesu, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi East in the Oti Region, was discovered dead in a Kumasi hotel room.
On Sunday, police discovered his body lying naked in bed with his left arm hanging by the bed.
Health care professionals carefully examined the body and discovered no signs of violence, but they did discover spermatozoa on his thigh.
The spermatozoa drop, in the opinion of the authorities, points to a potential sexual act prior to his demise. According to investigations by Luv News, the deceased and his driver, Sylvester Attah, had checked into the hotel late on Friday, September 2.
However, the driver departed to check into a different hotel.
Since checking into the hotel, Mr Kofi Okesu has not been seen and attempts to contact him have been ineffective.
Investigations revealed that Mr Attah was unable to reach him on Sunday, September 4, the day of his scheduled return to Dambai.
The manager of the aforementioned hotel in Kumasi filed a formal complaint with the police.
The Police then entered his room and discovered Mr Okesu’s dead body.
The police’s Regional Crime Scene team went to the crime scene to start their investigation.
Police sources claim that although they searched the room, they had not yet discovered anything illegal.
Simon Osei Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Abraham Antwi, the municipal chief executive of Oforikrom, and other security personnel have visited the scene in the interim.
For preservation and an autopsy, the body has been placed in the mortuary at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
