Mahama Ayariga, the member of parliament for Bawku Central, has denounced the recent gun incident that took place in his Upper East Region district.
Two individuals were killed and four others were injured when unknown gunmen opened fire on a crowd at the community center on Wednesday.
It is said that locals left the region out of fear for their lives.
Mahama Ayariga asked on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to step in during an interview with Citi News.
“It is really regrettable that this gun violence, which claimed two lives and injured several others, was seen on camera. These are unfortunate developments, and I strongly oppose them. We keep requesting mediation from Otumfuo, the Ashanti Hene’s office.
