Main Suspect In The Murder Of Professor Yaw Benneh Passes On

The main suspect in the murder of Legon Law lecturer, Professor Yaw Benneh has passed on at the Police Hospital in Accra.

Per the report from Police, the suspect, James Nana Womba not been well for a while and was put on oxygen at the intensive care unit of the hospital but died after some time.

James before his death confessed that he was actually involved in the killing of the late professor at his Adjiriganor mansion in Accra.

After he confessed, he disclosed the names of his accomplices.

However, the police offcers have been able to affect the arrest of one of the said accomplices.

The state prosecutors said they are working to apprehend the two others as they got the court to grant them an arrest warrant.

Currently, two persons standing trial have been remanded in the custody of the police.

Prof Emmanuel Yaw Benneh, a law lecturer at the University of Ghana, was allegedly killed at his Adjirigano mansion in Accra. Days later, his body was found with his hands tied and a cloth stuffed in his mouth.
