he Ghana Police Service has released a statement to the general public to help find the child being abused in a viral video.
The statement was released after the police saw a horrifying video on social media in which a male adult is seen subjecting an infant to a severe beating under a tree.
In the video, a man who is assumed to be the little girl’s father is seen subjecting the baby to physical abuse by beating her mercilessly with the branch of a tree. And people were seated unconcerned about what was happening.
The Ghana Police Service has promised to reward a sum of Ghc 2000 to anyone who will provide credible information that could lead to the arrest of the individual and rescue of the child.
Anyone with such information is expected to contact the police on 0243809991.
“Efforts are underway to track down the individual involved, have him arrested and rescuer the child,” – Ghana Police Service.
Ghanaians have expressed their displeasure about the video.
Sonie Badu, a gospel artiste has also raised concerns about it. He urges Ghana Police Service to arrest all three men in the video. He expects the police to arrest the one abusing the child, the one videoing it and the one sitting down.
