John Dramani Mahama, a former president of Ghana, has urged his countrymen to remain hopeful in the coming year.
He claims that despite the recent economic hardship the nation has experienced, Ghanaians “cannot give up on our dear motherland Ghana” despite the impending austerity measures and sacrifices 2023 will entail.
According to him, Ghanaians will have plenty of chances to “be better versions of ourselves and work even harder towards salvaging our dear nation from the avoidable abyss into which she has been plunged” as long as they have life.
“May this new year clear the way and bring us closer to creating the “Ghana We Want”—a Ghana where everyone has access to opportunities and where our personal and group aspirations are realized. A very Happy and Prosperous New Year to all of you, my fellow citizens, he said.
