In a press statement released and signed by Hon. Solomon Yaw Nkansah, the chairman, they’ve refused to accept the results circulating with the incumbent winning. Stating that, at their own collation, their candidate won with over 51%.
The statement read;
Over the course of last night, there was a stalemate at the Essikado Ketan Constituency collation center over due process governing the compilation of results from polling stations and importation of illegal ballot boxes with broken seals etc.
The incumbent MP has used similar rigging tactics during past elections but will not get away with it this time around.
Per the Party’s own results collation, the Parliamentary candidate Prof. Dr Grace Ayensu-Danquah tops the election with over 51% of total votes across 153 polling stations within the constituency.
We shall be providing details in due course. Meanwhile we urge our supporters to remain resolute and ignore fake results purporting to emanate from EC.
