The National Democratic Congress, Bernard Allotey Jacobs’ previous political organization, is expected to suffer yet another setback in the upcoming elections.
The NDC is destined to suffer another humiliating defeat, according to Allotey Jacobs, based on the behaviour of the party and the character of some of its members.
The former NDC Central Regional Chairman sent a stern message to the leadership of the NDC, saying, “If you don’t organize your party very well and you believe in the demonstration that you will organize people to take to the streets, you will organize people to take to the streets on Tuesday, June 28.”
This was in response to the party leaders who joined the Arise Ghana protest, which started on Tuesday, June 28 and turned violent as protesters threw stones at the Police, who also retaliated with tear gas and
He was concerned that the party’s leaders, including Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC Communications Officer, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the Chairman, who were among the organizers of yesterday’s march, hadn’t yet learnt their lessons.
He believed that if the party had learned anything, the leaders would not have supported and condoned any form of violence during the protest.
“...I don’t know why the leadership of the NDC is not learning from its past mistakes…you are having some kind of elements within the NDC leadership that what they believe is violence, but will they achieve success in that?” he expressed his disappointment.
