Ambassador Mary Beth Leonardo happens to be the US Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a recent address to a gathering, he started the things Nigerians really need to improve upon to make their country a better one. Which he added that, they already know, but they are not implementing them.
In the address, he pointed out three key things Nigerians need to do.
He said, ” you don’t need anybody to tell you what to do. It’s very simple.
1. Don’t look to government, and get rid of gasoline subsidies. Because they cost every Nigerian citizen more than their worth.
2. Educate and empower every girl and woman. With this, Nigerians will be able to see into the future with two eyes and can grab it with two arms and not one.
3. Empower the people, put electricity in every home. And pay for what you get. When you tell the companies that you’re paying, they’ll deliver.”
He went ahead to address one major problems not only of Nigeria but most African countries. Which is, there only one government and 100s of servants.
