Ghana rap artist Amerado Burner has declared that Nigeria does not come close to Ghana when it comes to rap music.
The rapper made these remarks when he was interviewed by MzGee on the New Day Show on TV3 (Monday, September 28th)
Amerado when asked who has better rappers between Ghana and Nigeria, said: “Nigerians don’t have rappers, do they? Big respect to MI but all their rappers have turned to singers. When it comes to rap there is not a match. Ghana got it. ”
He also shared his thoughts on the profitability of the rap music genre.
“Our biggest artiste in Ghana is Sarkodie and he’s a rapper. Rap music sells. It all depends on how you present it. ”
He then encouraged Ghanaians to show support for the Kumerican trend, which is now the talk of the day.
“We all must support Kumerican trends. I Kumerican and I will always be proud of it. If you can not support it do not condemn it. This trend really helped us (Kumasi-based rapper) “.
