The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) is an annual national-level quiz competition for senior high schools in Ghana.
Francisca Lamini was the first female contestant in the finals of the competition in the last 8 years. After, her school made history when they qualified for the finals of NSMQ as the first SHS in the Volta Region to have qualified for the finals. Francisca caught the attention of the nation with her amazing performance, after the competition,
Francisca again warmed the hearts of most Ghanaians when she scored As in all her core and elective subjects in WASSCE. Because of her outstanding performance, Ghanaians reached out to her to support her journey to the University. This includes Mrs Angela Kyeremanten-Jimoh and other CEO such as Mrs Abena Amoah (Deputy Managing Director, Ghana Stock Exchange), Mrs Theresa Ayoade (CEO OF Charter House), and Dr Edith Dankwa (Board Chair Business and Financial Times Limited) and many more.
She has expressed her profound gratitude to all those who have helped through her journey to Harvard University a success.
