The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Bice Osei Kuffour, known as Obour to act as the Managing Director of Ghana Post Company.
Ghana Post has been led on a turnaround way to significant growth with the aid of innovation, new service introduction, and expansion.
Post office digitization across the country has been part of the strategic turnaround, ease of flexibility, introducing digital addresses by the government to equip fast and effective way of mail delivery and other services rendered by the company.
In 2019, an online platform called “Ghpostpay” was the launch order for customers to access Ghana post service remotely.
Over the past 3 years, the Ghana post has received some significant growth and contributions attracting both international and local forms of awards.
Awards include:
Best EMS Call Centre 2017 and Best Customer Care Award 2018, both by the Universal Postal Union in Switzerland.
Other are Public Sector Campaign of the Year 2018 by Marketing World Awards; CIMG President Special Awards 2018; Most Reliable and Fastest Courier Company in West Africa 2019 by Pillars Modern Ghana Awards; Excellence in Innovation and Technology 2019; Outstanding Contribution to the Shipping Industry 2019 by Ghana Shippers Awards.
Obour’s journey ahead as acting MD of Ghana Post will be characterized by improving mail security, seeing to the expansion of the postal network to both viable and non-viable places to enhance service transmission.
