The Police administration stated that according to an initial investigation into an incident of shooting in Tamale, involving the Tamale District Patrol team, the administration has interdicted six officers.
A team of investigators has been dispatched to give leads into the investigation of the matter.

News reaching Vesta daily communicates that gunshots were heard in Tamale as the youth of Lamashegu and Police personnel clashed.
The chaos erupted after the police patrol team shot and killed a young man who refused to stop upon police requesting him to stop.
The gunshot penetrated through his backglass and went straight into his stomach. He died at the hospital as a result of a bullet in his stomach.
The Police Administration has revealed earlier has interdicted the six police officers involved in the shooting and killing of the young man whose name is yet to be revealed.
A statement by the Police Administration reveals that “The Northern Regional Police Commander has been tasked to liaise with the affected families and offer them the necessary support in line with Police Regulations”
