Qatar 2022: Black Stars Players Flee The Hotel After A Fire Scare

Following a minor incident that happened in the Black Stars hotel on Sunday, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released a statement.

It’s been reported that an emergency alarm caused the entire team to be forced out of the hotel in Doha.

However, after 45 minutes of inspection by the Qatar Fire Service team, the area was deemed safe, and the team was permitted to reoccupy the hotel.

“On Sunday, November 20, just after 14:30 Qatar time, the emergency alarm at the Ghana team hotel in Doha went off, causing all occupants to evacuate on their own.

The statement read, “The Qatar Fire Service crew arrived shortly after to attend to the emergency alarm.”
Prior to Portugal’s match, Black Stars held their first practice session on Sunday.

On November 22 at 4:00 p.m., the team will face Portugal in the World Cup opening match.
