“Say hi to AmgMedikal for me”, Member of Parliament for Ningo–Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has hit out hard at Ghanaian singer Deborah Owusu-Bonsu, also known as Sister Derby, saying, “following the latter’s verbal assault against the MP over the new LGBT bill draft.
Sam Nartey George is one of many who is championing the passing of the LGBTQI+ bill. But some seem not to be in agreement with what is being done, one of whom is Deborah Vanessa Owusu Bonsu, popularly known by her stage name Sister Derby.
Earlier today, Sam George tweeted that, “I have seen the attacks from a few goons aligned to a political inclination based on my leadership on the PMB against LGBTQI+ in Ghana. Bow your heads in shame. Nothing would stand in our way to get this bill passed.”
Sister Derby tweeted back, saying, “You are rather full of perversion. So obsessed with people’s sexual orientation. Shame on you, you backward thinker!!!”
Many concerns have been raised with regard to the tweet of Sister Derby. People questioning her stand and who she really is as a person.
But it seems Sam George wasn’t going to let her go free with her words.
He tweeted back, “Hopefully when you figure out what genre of music you can succeed at, we can have a forward-looking conversation. Until then, say hi to @AmgMedikal for me.
Cheers.
