Sonnie Badu, a UK-based Ghanaian gospel artist, philanthropist, author and television reporter, has won multiple awards and special recognition to his name.
In a recent video picked by Markonews which has to do with a sermon he preached on “Excellence”, made emphasis on Shatta Wale being the best Ghanaian musician, with reference from the already video he watched.
He said, “20% of believers have tapped into the grace of excellence, while 80% are mediocre. Christians who claim to be believers by quoting every scripture in the Bible lacks the spirit of excellence. But in the secular world, a lot of people and businesses move with so much excellence.
They will do everything to push what they deal in. Even if it is to do with travelling to another country to shoot a one-minute commercial video.
Beyonce just released a song entitled “Already”, with one of the best Ghanaian musicians by name Shatta Wale. The video was made for Disney world. In the introduction of the video, Beyonce said that the video started from her backyard, then they went to Ghana, then to South Africa.
They happened to go to six different countries in shooting that music video. They got the best of dancers to project what they were trying to sing. They were graphical with everything and it was beautifully projected. And the young man (Shatta Wale) did great.””
He went ahead to pose a question as to how much Beyonce spent in shooting that music video. Yet believers will not spend a dime to let the world see that their God is good.
He said, “God didn’t give the vision to the shooting of “The Passion of Christ” to a Christian, but Mel Gibson. This is because he knew a Christian will not spend what Mel Gibson will. So we all sat there and watched Mel Gibson smoking while directing that video.
The money some believers have is equivalent to that of Mel Gibson. The difference is, he (Mel Gibson) understood what excellence was. Excellence is costly, that’s why a lot of people don’t venture. If they should have a clear understanding of that, they surely will pay every price for it, for great excellence gives great impact. Excellence is not about the amount of money you make but the people you touch”.
