The Minority Leader of the New Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon Haruna Iddrisu, has bluntly stated the NDC’s rejection of this year’s presidential election declared by the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
He demands that Techiman South constituency’s coalition must be added to the overall figures gathered by the EC to properly ascertain the number of seats won by the party in parliament.
According to him, this declaration by the EC is “an attack on our democracy and a bloat on the conscience of those who have perpetuated these acts to undermine the integrity of the election”. For this reason, he adds, “we outrightly reject the declaration of the sitting president as the winner of the 2020 elections”.
To round up his address, he said “in due cause our flag bearer, H.E John Dramani Mahama, will address the nation and international community, supported by vivid and technical evidence of add ups to the summary of the supposed 51 plus something percent for someone”.
