The Opposition Party Chant Revolution To Object The Budget Approval In Parliament

Parliament in Chaos as first Deputy speaker overlook the minority motion in overturning the approval of the budget, in Parliament today, the members of the Opposition were heard chanting
“Revo Revo Revolution
Has a long way to go
But has come to stay
Cadres may go
Cadres may come
But the revolution
Has come to stay”

Joseph Osei Wusu, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament has given justification with regards to the 2022 budget statement.
He stated ” I am a member of Parliament, the Second Deputy Speaker is a member of Parliament, Our work is to assist the speaker.

Any attempt to read and interpret the constitution to include Deputy Speakers is a misreading of the constitution
When the Speaker is not around either of us can preside so like any other member. That member doesn’t lose their right of being a member of the House”.

The minority leader, Haruna Iddrisu made a counterargument saying Deputy Speaker won’t be considered as a member of Parliament at the moment he resumes the seat as a Speaker, leaving the number of 137 MPs present.
He furthered on with “We don’t support the E-levy.
Our point is to revise it to take care of the ordinary people”
