With regards to the breast cancer awareness month, Young Philanthropists a charity organisation, has launched a Breast Cancer awareness campaign dubbed ‘Pink Power’ with the theme, “ladies, save the boobs…”
Speaking to Vesta Daily News about the organization and the campaign, Miss Ankoma Rachel, the CEO of Young Philanthropist said
“Young Philanthropists is a charity organisation with the slogan ” let’s make a positive impact “. Therefore making a positive impact doesn’t have to be one sided, but rather focuses on different or variety of issues across the country and beyond.
However, as part of the campaign to stand against breast cancer, Young Philanthropists is committed to joining this campaign action.”
“Most women are very indifferent when it comes to the checking of their breast or getting it tested. Moreover there is lack of sufficient knowledge or education in the causes of breast cancer, therefore early detection of the disease remains the cornerstone of breast cancer control.
Young Philanthropists, therefore wishes to sensitise women across the country and beyond.” She said.
She then added that, it is time to defeat breast cancer once and for all.
“It appears every minute somewhere in the world ,a woman dies from breast cancer .That’s more than 1,400 women every day which is very alarming. Therefore, We urge everyone who can to support this worthy course in cash and in kind. Let’s do this together. Young Philanthropists, is saying that, it is time to defeat breast cancer once and for all. “
