inal-year students of the University of Education, Winneba are demonstrating against the school authorities because their results on the school’s notice board are different from what has been uploaded on their portal.
A scheduled meeting was expected to take place on Friday 23rd September 2022 to discuss and resolve the underlying problem between final year students and management over the student’s concern but did not happen because management failed to show up which compelled the students to go on a rampage.
Students are concerned about the fact that most of their results do not reflect in their portal and even if it does, it is either they have failed or their results would be different from what they’ve seen on the notice board.
This issue has been their headache for some time now and has affected everyone including level 100, 200 and 300 students. But the school’s management has kept quiet about the issue. The students are of the view that the school authorities are making a deliberate attempt to fail them since they cannot even track their academic records.
Exams are supposed to begin on Monday 10th September 2022 but they have refused to sit for the exams until the problem has been sorted out. Students are being chased out of their exam hall by demonstrators. They are also scared to go to their various examination centres for fear of getting hurt because of the ongoing demonstration.
