The Super Falcons refused to train on Thursday as part of a long-running protest over unpaid bonuses.
Randy Waldrum’s team is still waiting for their bonuses from the ongoing 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco.
On Friday, the Super Falcons will face the Shepolopolo of Zambia in the third-place match.
The game will be held at Casablanca’s Stade Mohamed V.
It should be noted that the Super Falcons have previously engaged in similar protests.
Following their elimination from the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, the players staged a protest over unpaid bonuses.
They refused to leave their hotel until their unpaid bonuses from 2016 were paid.
