The management of Ghana Post Company Limited has issued a statement regarding a publication by one Loukas Chritodoulou, claiming that Ghana has imported $45m worth of postage Stamps from Malta.
The statement read:
“The attention of the Management of Ghana Post Company Limited has been drawn to a publication by one Loukas Christodoulou on Twitter on 4th April, 22 claiming that Ghana has imported $45m worth of postage stamps from Malta.
As the country’s designated postal operator and the sole institution in charge of postage stamps in the country, we wish to state that the said claim is not true about Ghana Post as we have not imported any stamp from Malta and therefore implore the general public to dissociate Ghana Post from the said publication.
We admonish the general public to be circumspect with publications on social media.
Ghana Post is upgrading its technology to participate fully in the digital economy with our e-services, e-commerce and financial services to provide the general public with smart, secure delivery services.”
