Lately, the frequency of power fluctuations in the country has got many wondering if dumsor is back.
The word “dumsor” was coined during the Mahama administration when power was supplied as if a child was being taught how to put on and off a switch.

During the Mahama administration, power banks got very popular because having your phone fully charged through an electric supply was not guaranteed. Those who could afford generators did so and never had to worry about power cuts.
Even though the President hasn’t addressed this issue, we can confidently say dumsor has hit the country once again. This is one of the reasons award-winning actress, Yvonne Nelson, can’t keep calm. This morning, she took to her Twitter handle to remind the president, Nana Addo, of all “the pressure everyone gave him, including you?”. Referring to how much pressure Mahama had to absorb from him to curb the situation.

Yvonne added that ” Ghanaians deserve BETTER!” which I believe she’s not far from the truth. Her comment doesn’t suggest any political party affiliation because she thinks with proper management systems, Ghana can rise above the same old predicaments. To end her address, she said, “We’re tired of leaders not caring about the PEOPLE”. To President Akuffo Addo she said, “FIX IT!!!”.
