Jan. 30, 2024 – A new study reveals that becoming sick causes more than just sniffles and fevers. Most folks find it pulls out their sneakier side.
According to a new study conducted by University of Michigan researchers, an amazing 75% of persons acknowledged concealing an infectious condition. More than 60% of the study’s healthcare professionals indicated they didn’t report their sickness, actively tried to cover it up, or planned to keep a future illness hidden.
The conclusions are based on an analysis of pooled data from prior research that looked at people’s behaviours or intentions toward past, current, and future illnesses.
The latest findings, published this month in the journal Psychological Science, included data from approximately 4,100 persons. The participants in the studies were university students in the United States, healthcare personnel, or respondents to online survey invites.
