The LPG Marketers Association of Ghana has confirmed full supply of Gas across the country by Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
For the association, even though the tanker drivers have called off their strike, they need some time to cart the product from source to various distribution outlets.
About a month ago, the drivers went on strike attributing it to poor working conditions among other issues.
This made LPG scarce and consumers complained about it.
The Vice President of the LPG Marketers Association of Ghana, Gabriel Kumi said, “After a protracted meeting yesterday [Sunday] with the tanker drivers, the meeting was organized by the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations. The Minister managed to get them to call off the strike yesterday and as at this morning, they have resumed work in earnest”.
According to Kumi, there will be supplies in Accra today. And those going from Accra to Kumasi and other places, drivers will travel this evening so by tomorrow morning [Tuesday], the product will be available at all the various LPG stations across the country.
“We want to appeal to the general public to have a little bit of patience, and we are hopeful that by tomorrow morning supply and distribution to the general public will be in full swing,” Gabriel Kumi concluded.
