The National Union Of Ghana Students (NUGS) commends the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s Educational Policy to fully and partially absorb school fees of new entrants and continuing tertiary students, respectively.
Today, in a statement released by the Union’s Secretary, Divine Edem Kwadzodeh, NUGS has since the outbreak of the pandemic, sought to have their fees absorbed by the government as a result of the negative effects Covid 19 has had on both students and parents.
According to the Union, the NDC’s policy has come as an answered prayer and a request heeded to. NUGS also looks forward to having a pending proposal approved, thus, people living with disabilities be offered free tertiary education as well.
NUGS was quick to add that “The National Union Of Ghana Students will hold the NDC and its Flagbearer accountable in the fulfilment of these policy propositions should they win the forthcoming elections, and will demand that they are implemented to the benefit and satisfaction of the good tertiary students of the country”.
